Hi, I’m Maria Johnston, the owner and founder of Active Balance Veterinary Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy and Behaviour Solutions in Hinckley, Leicestershire.

For the past 10 years, myself and my team have dedicated ourselves to providing high-quality rehabilitation, maintenance, and performance enhancement treatments for dogs in our local community and beyond.

At Active Balance, we’ve built a trusted reputation for delivering personalised, evidence-based care. Many of our clients come from across Leicestershire but some travel from further afield because they know they will receive a bespoke treatment plan tailored to the individual needs of their dog, we are here to support every stage of their journey.

During these past 10 years, I’ve have also the privilege of sharing my expertise as the practical instructor for Level 3 Canine Hydrotherapy Courses, for K9HS where I’ve helped to train and mentor the next generation of hydrotherapy professionals. It’s been an incredibly rewarding experience to contribute to the growth of this vital field and to work with passionate professionals who share my commitment to canine health and wellbeing.
